Day 24

This was taken while I was working on a class assignment called "Photo Walk."  I love this picture, and I did not ask him to sit there like that.

Day 23

Found this little guy out in our repair shop today.  Had to get a picture of it.  Doesn't it make you want to smile?

Day 22

Sophie - one of Alli's favorite toys.  Thanks, Chelsey over at the paper mama for introducing her to us!

Day 20

Items we found on our impromtu scavenger hunt on this morning.  We had decided to go for a walk, and MJ was being cranky.  So we decided to make it a game.  He was supposed to find an acorn, a pinecone, berries or apple from a tree, and a flat rock. The black thing was a result of me asking him to find a heart-shaped rock.  We gave him credit for it.  There was also a stick shaped like a "Y"  but it didn't make it back home!

Day 19

Here's MJ at his first Lowe's Build to Grow Workshop.  What a silly smile he was giving me!  Almost looks like it was painful for him!  But he had a great time!

Day 18

The sunrise was absolutely gorgeous this morning.  This picture does not even come close to doing it justice.  The sun was HUGE too.  I wanted to try to get a better pic, without other distracting things in the photo, but I knew the colors would be gone by the time I reached work, and there was no great place to pull over.  Bummer, but I just love Fall sunrises!

Day 17

Tainted Formula!

Ack!  I thought the manufacturers of baby products were better than this!  Beetle parts found in the brand of formula that we use!  I had 4 containers that were all from the lots that were recalled.  We are now switching brands, and I hope Baby Girl's tummy tolerates it ok.  This really gets my blood boiling!

Day 16

Just a very small taste of what I deal with everyday.  There is a bridge that is being reconstructed, and it has been taken from 5 lanes down to 2.  They are bringing in these concrete beams now, and at times it goes to 1 lane.  It adds at least an extra 10 minutes to my commute, and won't be complete until next fall.  *sigh*  I am sure it will be wonderful when it is done, but for the time being, let me whine, ok?  :)

Day 14

The only pictures I took yesterday were for my photography assignment.  I was not happy with any of them, so I figured I would mess with editing them a bit, and post one here.  Here it is.  Fun!

Day 13

We spent a good part of the day filing, throwing, and splatting water balloons!  Bugsy would chase the balloons as they were in flight, and popped the ones on the ground if they didn't pop on impact.  I think he had more fun than anyone!

Day 11

I am almost over my cold.  I think this has helped:

Is it against the rules to post more than one photo?  Sorry if it is.  I promise I won't make a habit of it!

Day 10

I didn't get this posted yesterday, but it was taken last night.  I let Baby Girl fall asleep on our bed just this once.  She didn't know it, but I was about to try to pry her mouth open to take a picture of her new tooth!

Yeah, that didn't go well.  If it had, you would have seen that picture instead!  :)  Oh well, maybe you will see that photo in a post in the near future!

Day 9

Ok, it has been over a week - and I am still doing this!  I just know one day I am going to forget!

Our day started with a trip to the ophthalmic plastic surgeon.  Three years ago, MJ had surgery to correct a drooping eyelid, and we now go once a year to make sure all is ok.  Yep, all is ok.  The doctor said sure, it is not perfect, and it can be tweaked a little more, but if it doesn't bother us, or him, then leave it alone.  Nope, it doesn't bother us!  As long as his vision is ok, we are ok!  We will let him decide when he is older if he wants more done to it.  But for now, it's all good!

Day 8

I find amusement in the little things.  Like this sign

I pass it everyday on my way to work.  I don't know why it tickles me so much, but it does.  I mean, have you ever seen a sign like this before?  I have seen deer crossing signs, and geese/duck crossing signs.  But really?  Four different animals all on one sign?  It cracks me up!  I have yet to have my commute interrupted in this area due to wild rabbit, geese, turkeys, or deer darting in front of me.  But obviously it has been a problem at some point for them to post the sign.  Too funny - at least to me!

Day 7

Yep.  It's Monday, and I am loading up on the caffeine!

Day 6

Today we went to Barnes and Noble, bought tons of books, and spend a good portion of the day reading/looking at them.

Day 5

It was a rainy day, but MJ and I decided to go outside and play anyway, when there was just light mist.  Of course I had my camera in tow.  We decided to let his pet frog out of its cage and stretch its legs a little.  I took many pictures of MJ and his frog, but I loved this one.

Day 4

The party is over!  I took down the last of my birthday decorations that were in my office.  These are the remnants of the balloons.  It was very therapeutic to pop them!

Day 3

So this has been my daily regimen this week

Yes, I have a cold ON TOP of allergies.  Yeah, fun!  Runny nose, stuffy nose, itchy eyes, sore throat, slight temperature, and a cough.  Since it is a busy week at work, I haven't had the luxury of staying home to rest.  Then at night, when I should be resting, I am not.  I have a baby that wakes several times a night (she also has this cold, so she is waking herself up with coughing spells), and a 4 year old that wants water, wants his TV turned on, his feet hurt, or his bunny is downstairs.

Day 2

Here is what my day is full of today.

It's month-end closing time here.   Aaaah...the life of a bean counter!

Project 365 - Day 1

Welcome to the first post of my Project 365.  What is Project 365?  Well, it's simple.  You take a picture everyday for 365 days.  Now, I take a lot of pictures, so I do not think this will be hard to do.  I think the toughest part will be deciding which photo to post.  I want to really try to capture the day in one photo.  I may not always succeed, but hopefully by looking at the photo, the memories of the day will flood back to me.

What better day to start my project than on the day I turn the big 4-OH!  Yes, I will be documenting my 40th year in photos.  It may be a pretty uneventful year, but maybe not.  That is yet to be seen.  However, with a nearly 5-year old, and an 8-month old, I am sure there will be plenty of things going on.  So my bets are that it will be pretty exciting!

My very first picture is just a little hint of the many props I had on my big day.

This was on top of a long spring attached to a headband, and there were two of them (springy things, not headbands).  There were also mylar fringes and fabric flowers on the headband.  You can also see a few of the mylar "40" confetti that were sprinkled all over my desk.  My office was completely decked out in all sorts of fun "over the hill" themed goodies.  Balloons, streamers, centerpiece, signs, etc.  My compliments to my co-workers on making my day fun - even though I was feeling a bit under the weather.  I was battling my first cold of the season.  Blah!  Happy Birthday to Me!
