Day 88 (Day 204) Footwear

Footwear

My daughter's new fancy footwear.  They are called Twinkle Toes.
Lots of glittery material, and they light up!

This is just one of the five little lights that turn on.  Way too stinkin' cute!

Day 87 (Day 203) Group

Group

Monday night means Taekwondo class, and there was a big group tonight.  There were 13 kids in the Tiny Tigers, except one little girl cried the entire time, and never joined the rest of them. My son is the one with his back turned with an orange belt.

Day 86 (Day 202) Frosted

Frosted

On Sunday we celebrated our nephew's 10th birthday.  These frosted cupcakes were lemon-flavored cake, and I just loved the little decorations my sister-in-law created on top!  They were very yummy!

Day 85 (Day 201) Creepy

Creepy

I don't know about anybody else, but I think Ronald McDonald is a little creepy.  But he has some yummy, not-so-good-for-you food!  Saturday we met up with my BFF and her son, and visited a bounce house.  We followed it up with some Happy Meals for the kidlets, and I had a salad.  I actually love their salads!

Day 84 (Day 200) Glowing

Glowing

My morning commute.  The sun was glowing as it was rising above the horizon.  Not the best quality, but this was the only picture I took on this day.  It wasn't too safe either, since I took it as I was driving.  I really need to stop doing that.  But sometimes the sun looks so amazing, and I can only get a decent shot while I am on the road.  I almost did it again this morning, because the sky was a very pretty purple with pinks as the sun was rising, but I stopped myself.  Forget about texting and driving.  They need to pass a law to stop me from taking pictures while driving!

Day 83 (Day 199) Center of Interest

Center of Interest

Not only was the bud on this flowering tree the center of interest in my photo, but it is the center of my interest every day.  Each spring I check this Star Magnolia every day for its first bloom of Spring.  It my absolute favorite thing in my yard!  If my husband ever gets around to planting the daffodils and tulips, that may change.  But for now, I wait in anticipation for this beauty to open up!

Day 82 (Day 198) Swing

Bench/Swing

This bench sees plenty of use.  It is located at a park that is within walking distance of our home.  We visit there a lot, and it also has a half mile paved walking path.  Often my mom and sister will meet me there for about 6 laps, and we will sit on this bench to wait for each other to arrive.

Day 81 (Day 197) Dusk

Dusk

A glimpse of the moon as the sun was setting at dusk.  Taken while the family was taking an after dinner stroll to the park and playground.

Day 80 (Day 196) Fear

Fear

MJ set aside his fear, and tried his bike without the training wheels!  We had actually tried this last summer, but he resisted, and wouldn't get on his bike at all.  So we gave in and put the training wheels back on.  This spring though, we told hm the training wheels are not going back on.  He has great balance so we know he can do this!  He did really well this time, but gave up after a few tumbles.  The weather is going to be nasty again during the upcoming days, so we won't be able to practice again until maybe next week.

Day 79 (day 195) Spring

Spring

Since today is the first day of spring, I had to use this theme!  This is the first signs of spring in our backyard!

Day 78 (Day 194) Endearing

Endearing

It's endearing to me to see my children having fun together.  They really love each other...now.  I hope it doesn't change as they get older!

Day 77 (Day 193) Front Doors

Day 75 (Day 191) Orange

Orange

Orange, as in Orange Belt.  It was just 9 days ago he received his white belt, and tonight he was able to test for his orange belt.  He passed with flying colors, and I had the honor of changing his belt.  So proud!

Day 74 (Day 190) Casual

Casual

Just chillin' at home on a lazy evening.  Check out that hair! Thank goodness we have a haircut scheduled this Friday!

Day 73 (Day 189) Car Parts

Day 72 (Day 188) Candles

Candles

I have taken a picture of these candles before, for my asymetrical theme.  This time I used my Bokeh Masters kit.  I love it!

Day 71 (day 187) Chores

Chores

Just doin' a little vaccuuming.

Day 70 (Day 186) Dessert

Dessert

Mmmmm!  Chocolate pudding!

Day 69 (Day 185) Faceless Portrait

Faceless Portrait

Day 68 (Day 184) Edible

Edible

I was eating a snack of black jelly beans, which I LOVE!  I only get them this time of year.  I decided to have a little fun with them for my photo of the day.

Day 67 (Day 183) Cleanliness

Cleanliness

Day 66 Day (182) White

White

Last night my son finally got his white belt, and two stripes.  This was only his 5th class, and he was thrilled!  And we were so proud.  We hope he will get to test for his orange belt in another week or so.

Day 65 (Day 181) Fashion

Fashion

What do you think of my daughter's fashion statement?  I put her in this outfit, and my husband rolled his eyes, and made fun of her.  But when I tried to take off the tutu, she whined and kicked her feet.  So she liked it!  Then later in the day, she found this wand on her own, and started to carry it around.  How perfect!  She looked like a little fairy!  And do you like the sleeves?  One rolled up and one down?  Hilarious!

I am not happy with the blurriness, but I already had the ISO cranked up, and the aperture as low as my lens would allow, so this is the best I could do!

Day 64 (Day 180) Reaching Up

Reaching Up

She was fascinated with the tennis ball Daddy and Brother were hitting back and forth.  So we let her play with it for a little while.  You know, because we are nice like that!  She carried it around and would throw it, and then expect us to retrieve it!  Then she would get upset when we wouldn't.  Aaaah, fun in the great outdoors!

Day 62 (Day 178) Daybreak

Daybreak

The other day I posted a picture of a sunburst through the blinds at my office.  Well, here is what it looks like when the blinds are open!

Day 61 (Day 177) Circular

Circular

This is my nephew spinning fireballs at the ends of ropes.  I am sure there is an official name for them, but I don't know it!  They are something street or stage performers often use.  Anyone know the name?

Here's another

Day 60 (Day 176) Through a Window

Through a window

The sunrise this morning, as seen through my office window blinds.  *Yawn*  I am here way too early!!

Day 59 (Day 175) Cheese

Cheese

The cheese stands alone...

This is one of my daughter's favorite toys.  It is a pot with plastic food and a spoon, and it sings!  You can find it scattered around on my floor on any given day!  Her favorite things to do with it?  She loves to put the lid on and off, because it will sing "Open!  Closed!  Off!  On!" to her.  She also loves to bang the food on mommy's wood furniture, to try to make as many dings as possible!  So much fun!  (but not for mommy!)

Day 58 (Day 174) Calm

Calm

The scene in our backyard is very calm right now.  Usually it is bustling with children playing, dogs catching balls (ok, only one dog right now), or birds and squirrels looking for food.  Looking forward to the weather warming up a bit, so this scene will look a bit more lively!  This scene also reminds me that the play set needs a good power washing!  And it looks so bare without the roof (we take it off in the winter)!

Day 57 (Day 173) The Arts

The Arts - as in Martial Arts

If you follow my family blog, you have seen lots of pictures already of my son taking Taekwondo classes.  Well, guess what?  You are going to see one here too!  Since he is still new to this, we are pretty excited about it!  I am sure the new-ness of it will wear off soon.  But for now, I am taking lots of pictures of his classes, and I am a proud mommy!

Here he is learning some techniques with the bo staff.  This exercise was about finding the center of balance, and being able to toss it up and catch it.  He did great!
