Gates
Someone's in baby jail! These gates can be seen everywhere around our house!

Day 29 (Day 145) Children
Children
I wish Allie was smiling. But I have come to accept that I won't always get a picture of the kids together, and both smiling! Shoot...it was hard enough just to get my son to sit there for 30 seconds!
Day 28 (Day 144) Creative
Creative
We don't just make ordinary snowmen around here. We make Spongebob, Patrick Star, and Winnie the Pooh! I think we need to be just a bit more creative though, and find something to make facial features with!

Day 26 (Day 142) Beneath
Beneath
I never know, on any given day, what I may find beneath the couch. Today it was a car and a little man.

Day 24 (Day 140) Blurred
Blurred
We were playing outside yesterday, and it was starting to get close to dusk. My flash wanted to go off, but I turned it off. Well, action shot + low light - flash = blurred image. I was using my point and shoot, so I couldn't adjust any settings.

Day 23 (Day 139) Hero
Hero
Our Little Super Hero "Inventaboy". He picked the name out himself, because that is what he wants to be - an inventor. He wants to build manificent inventions that will help people. Isn't he great?

Day 22 (Day 138) Comfy & Cozy
Comfy & Cozy
It was quite chilly on Saturday, so we stayed warm by the fire. My poor slippers have seen better days, but they are comfy and cozy!

Day 21 (Day137) Barren
Barren
Taken at dusk, on my way home from work and picking up the kiddos. One of the many corn fields that are now barren until summer.

Day 17 (Day 133) Macro shot
Macro shot.
I have been so excited to really try out my new macro lenses that my hubby gave me for Christmas. When I came home from work yesterday, I saw that there was a light snow falling, and there were flakes collecting on the Mr's truck. I scurried the kiddos in the house, grabbed my camera, popped on the lens, and headed back out in the cold. I think these would have been better if I had used a tripod, but I am still pretty pleased.

Day 16 (Day 132) Childhood
Childhood
This is a baby rocking chair. We bought it for my son, and I hope to buy one for our daughter too. It is a piece of furniture that I am hoping they hang on to, and pass along to their children. And perhaps it will bring back fond memories of their childhood.
I added a texture (with a vignette) to this photo to give is a more rustic feel.
Day 15 (Day 131) Challenge/Challenging
Challenge/Challenging
One of the biggest challenges we have had with Miss Allie is her mobility. Not that it is a big deal, since she is not technically "behind" by any stretch. But she took a little longer than her brother did to learn how to crawl. She took a little longer to cruise, and now to walk. She is making great progress, and is very proud of herself when she takes unassisted steps. But it has challenged us as parents to work with her a little extra.
Took this picture at night, in our poorly lit family room. I bounced my flash off the ceiling, but looks like I needed to have a bit faster shutter speed!

Sick
Sorry for the lack of posts these past fews days. I have been under the weather, and still trying to kick this thing. I will hope to get caught up when I am feeling well enough.

Day 12 (Day 128) Bath time
I will be jumping around a little on the themes for a few days. I know I don't have to go in order, but I think it will be easier for me if I do, or at least stay close.
Anyway, here is my photo from today: BATH TIME
Anyway, here is my photo from today: BATH TIME
Poor girl. Minding her own business, splashing around, and BAM! Big brother decides to be an artist. But a little bath paint never hurt anyone! It washed right off, like it is supposed to. Whew!

Day 11 (Day 127) Asymmetrical
Asymmetrical
These candles are 3 different heights, so that makes them asymmetrical, and fits the theme today. I used the blizzard effect in photoshop on this photo, just for fun, because it is STILL snowing here!

Day 10 (Day 126) Art
Art
We really wanted to go see these being created, but at the risk of sounding repetitive, we were snowed in! Instead, I took some time at my lunch break today to check them out! The ones I really wanted to see were already destroyed, broken, vandalized, etc. But there were still some nice ones to see. I couldn't just post one, so here are a few more.
These pictures do not really do them justice. I know I could not create this kind of art, so I think they are pretty "cool" !

Day 9 (Day 125) Arranged
Arranged
All (almost) of our cloth diapers, neatly arranged, and ready for use. Since we were snowed in, I was able to get completely caught up on laundry! There were only 2 diapers not pictured. One was dirty (a blue one) and one was on her bottom (a white one). Otherwise, this it our stash!
In case anyone is interested...the two rows on the left are BumGenius, and the 2 rows on the right are Fuzzibunz (Medium and Large).
We do not exclusively cloth diaper, but try to put her in them as much as we can when we are at home!

Day 8 (Day 124) Architecture
Architechture
I am sure there will be tons of photos of cool-looking buildings posted on blogs for this theme. But we were pretty much snowed in this weekend. So the kids and I created our own.

Day 7 (Day 123) Aqua
Aqua
This is a fun thermometer we have. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw "Aqua" as a theme!

Day 5 (Day 121) A-mazing
A-mazing
Sorry, a little play on words today! This is a page from a workbook for pre-schoolers that we take whenever we go out to eat with our son. It keeps him occupied, and keeps us sane!

Day 4 (Day 120) Alive
Alive.
I can't believe "Hopper" is still alive! We found him wandering far from home, in our dry backyard last summer. My son insisted (or was it the hubby?) that we cage him and keep him. That was 6 months ago! While it was still warm outside, we tried to convince MJ to release him. Nope. "Til death do us part, I guess! This picture reminds me that his water dish needs a scrubbin'! Yuck!

Day 2 (Day 118) Action Shot
Action Shot
This is what goes on pretty much every.single.night.
The strings hanging down are from balloons, leftover from Little Miss' birthday party on Sunday.

Day 1 (Day 117) Abstract
Ok, so the title of my posts from this point forward may be a bit confusing, but here is why. When I originally started this blog, it was to document my 40th year, which started on my 40th birthday on September 7th, 2010. However, most P365s start at the beginning of the calendar year, and I am taking part in one such P365 right here. So, bear with me. Today I am on Day 1 of the new P365 I joined, and the day in parenthesis will be what day I am on in my original P365. Clear as mud? Good.
Although I am behind in getting this started, I will be using a posting date of the day it represents.
So here it is. My first photo post of the year! The theme for today's photo is "Abstract." I had a tough time finding something, but I think this fits.
